Measuring in Cooking-Comparing Measurements

This activity can be used for both cooking (life skills) or as a math activity when teaching fractions. The worksheet: *Students comparing various amounts (1/2, 1/3, 1/4 etc) using colored water and a clear, liquid measuring cup. *Students circle the amount that is more. *Students then practice pouring/measuring various products such as flour, beans, cereal and sugar. (real-life pictures are used). Students can then check off each box (or the teacher can) when completed.
