As a Modern World History teacher, I have students create wanted posters for the International Crime Court's most wanted fugitives. This project serves as enrichment after watching "Hotel Rwanda" and reading the United Nation's Declaration of Human Rights. This is a basic breakdown of what the CRQ portion of the NYS Global Exam asks. It can be used as a permanent piece in student's notebook to refer to throughout the year or it can be blown up to hang on the wall of the classroom. Absolute Monarchies in Europe project
Student groups are assigned one of the major European ruling families of the 16th-8th centuries (Hapsburg, Bourbon, Hohenzollern, Romanov, and Stuart) and must complete a poster project and class presentation. Groups will present information to the class and teach the class about their assigned dynasty. Charts for class to complete during presentation are included. A grading rubric is also included.

Enlightenment Philosophers Campaign Project
Sometimes it is difficult for students to understand The Age of Enlightenment, the beliefs of the philosophers, and the impact the Enlightenment had on the United States. This project places the Emlightenment thinkers within a Presidential campaign in which they all share their beliefs and compete to win the popular vote.

AP World History Unit 5 Concept Map Project
This is a project that students can do at home. I designed it to minimize cheating and to mimic the way the brain makes connections. My students have really liked doing concept maps and I have noticed an increase in their unit test scores since I have been using them.This is a guided concept map. The framework is provided so they will make sure to have the major nodes needed for the Unit. They make connections, provide specific historical evidence, color code for HTS, and annotate key terms.

Ancient World History Timeline
This timeline was created for a 6th Grade Ancient World History class that utilized DBQs as part of instruction. Dates in CE are blue, BCE are red, and when the event spanned both they are purple. Causes of the Revolutionary War Project
In this project students placed in groups of 4 and they create a timeline of all the events that lead up to the Revolutionary War. For each topic (there are 8) they write a paragraph or more on a foot, there is a template provided. Create pictures and place them all on the poster board. This will take several days to complete. I have done this with both Middle School and High School.

This is a project in which students design and create a comic strip portraying the events of the French Revolution. Viking Wanted Poster
I created this assignment to get my students excited about our unit on the Vikings. This assignment has students create a Wanted poster as if they are a Viking being hunted down by the English. I have included an example, a blank template (where it can be altered), an outline/rubric, and a version that can be typed into. When we did this, I had the student take a picture with the Viking helmet on to include on their poster.
