Students can compare and contrast Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic Cells, and Plant and Animal Cells in this creative Cell Folder Project. The assignment can be completed in class, or for homework. Organelle structure and function is illustrated with pictures and analogies. Because the rubric is included with the instructions, students can monitor their progress and achievement level. Biology Macromolecule Superhero Project
This is a project I use around October each year. I give the students 4 class periods (48 minutes each) to use and get as much done as they can. What they do not finish they complete on their own time (no students finish it during the time given). The students use the 4 macromolecules and make a superhero of 3 of them. Then, they answer questions about the macromolecules as a review. This is nice to do before a chapter test on the macromolecules.
