TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have ten years of experience in the public school setting, teaching Freshman Biology and Juniors and Seniors in GeoScience (geology, astronomy, and meteorology).

MY TEACHING STYLE

Over the years, I have tried all different teaching styles and tools. I have done direct lecture with fill in the blank notes. I have had completely flipped classrooms with video lectures. I have had the students create content notebooks. I have used Google classroom and Canvas. I have used Scantron, Mastery Manager, and now Mastery Connect. I have used Kahoot, Socrative, Quizlet, Blookit, and Remind. I am constantly adapting to my students needs so that I can provide the best quality education, but also meet the other needs of my students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

As educators, we must be able to evolve with the times, with our students, and with the ever changing expectations placed upon us. I have created this page not only to sell some of the materials I have created overtime, but to challenge myself to see what other teachers are doing, and create content to not only support my classroom but others as well. As I build my storefront, I hope to provide a wide variety of materials that support different teaching styles in topics that tend to be overlooked. The activities may not be the prettiest, have beautiful graphic art, or fancy previews, but I hope to provide materials that provide high value, use data and research, and make the kids think and explore! As a mom of two, I also want to expand my knowledge and ability to problem solve so I can mold my own children to want to discover the world : )
