This Economics lesson introduces students to the fundamental economic concept of scarcity by forcing students to make choices about a (fictional!) situation related to health care. The printable document includes the context, group discussion prompts and exit slip for students to turn in at the end of the lesson. The lesson can easily be adapted for class community building discussions.

This is something you can do with kids at home or with students in a class. There are 8 links to videos of popular Disneyland rides. After each ride there will be a set of questions that kids have to answer (regarding the ride they just went on). It would work well over zoom if you were needing something light and fun for your class or youth group. There is a link to the Disneyland fireworks display at the end of the acitivity.

Motivational thinking lesson for students taking exams

Each year, students take standardized exams. Some are statewide and some are nationwide but they all cause students to have anxiety. This lesson teaches children and teens what adults know about overcoming stress. It can lead to a daily dose of meditation or mindful reflection, depending on your style as an educator. In addition, doing a mindful meditation right after lunch will help the entire class calm down and refocus.
