This project gives the student a LARGE list of latin word stems and asks them to blend them together to describe a beast and the powers that it might have. Latin Language Project - States' Mottos
Assignment: Twenty-three of our fifty states have Latin mottoes! For this project, students are to read the Latin mottos of the states that have them. Students must pick one state from the list and draw that state’s flag on computer paper, adding the state’s Latin motto to the flag!This product comes with a downloadable word document with a list of all the states that have Latin mottos. Memorization Workshop Activity - Study Skills (Latin or any subject)

Latin Board Game Project
I use the board game project as a final exam substitute but it is infinitely adaptable to content and scope.
It asks students to create a question and answer trivia game whose categories are from the content of the course.
Included are the full project with a detailed rubric that can be used as is or modified to suit.

This 1-page assignment sheet provides instructions for writing Latin vocabulary compositions using new sets of vocabulary words. This project is meant to go along with Unit 1 Stage 5 of the Cambridge Latin Course. It also is meant to be used with A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Students are asked to create a theater mask (I bought a set of unpainted masks from Amazon) and research one of the classic Roman stock characters.

This project is presented as a "Colors Review Project," and engages the artistic and creative sides of students--but it is actually much more than a colors activity. Latin color adjectives include 1st/2nd Declension adjectives, as well as 3rd Declension adjectives. This is a great activity to use once students have learned all of these adjective groups (and the Latin colors themselves, of course).
