This pack was created because I was unable to find a suitable and cost-efficient program with everything I wanted my high school students to know about college and career. It's geared towards 11th and 12th graders, though it has many beneficial components that younger high school students can also benefit from. I hope that this is everything you have been searching for!

Mi Carrera Ideal - My Ideal Career Project
This is one of the best and most comprehensive projects I have ever created! It combines the use of careers and professions vocabulary with real-life exposure to potential jobs. This project contains three parts: exploring careers, interviewing professionals, and presenting their findings. I gave this project to sophomores in Spanish level 3 at both the college prep and honors level. Not only do parents love this project, but the professionals too!

Real-life Budget activity
This activity will be a guided class activity in which students choose their career from a list of careers and median salaries. The students will then use websites and given information to determine their school loan payments, buy a house, determine their mortgage, utilities, car payment, insurance and groceries/living expenses. The students will be able to complete a budget sheet and then a short 4 question reflection sheet from the activity. My students did this at the end of 8th grade math

This research project is for high school juniors (11th grade) who are preparing to take the ACT and apply to colleges within the next year.
