Odyssey - Comparison Chart and Essay with O Brother, Where Art Thou?
After reading the Odyssey, students watch the film O Brother, Where Art Thou? which is a modern re-telling of the epic poem. They fill in the chart while watching the film, comparing and contrasting specific elements of both mediums.
After the chart is complete, students use this information to write a compare-contrast essay. A prompt and outline is provided in the handout.
