I have been teaching for 18 years. I taught first grade for 15 years. I have have been teaching third grade for three years. I love teaching my little kiddos. I love to see them light up when they have learned something new.

I love to teach as much hands on as possible. I try to incorporate group work whenever possible. The students enjoy working together and practicing their future cooperative group working skills.

I have won the student teacher award during my student teacher semester in college.

I attended Southeastern Louisiana University and earned a degree in Education. I started college at an older age and I think this allowed me to really appreciate my learning and education. I loved meeting new people and learning during my years in college. It would be wonderful if everyone could attend college. I also have taught children in my church. I tutored after school for many years.

I have 2 children and 1 grandson. I have been fortunate to have a wonderful loving husband for 33 years. I am always open to learn new things in life and in education.
