Let's Make Some Butter ~ Science Lab and Writing/Research Activities
This is a classic activity that kids always love to experience! I am always surprised that so few of them have ever done it before! We usually do this lab while we are studying pioneers in social studies, but it can be done anytime of the year! I get mason jars from Amazon (they are pretty cheap). (about $1 each) We display our Butter Research Projects outside the classroom!

Slime Science Experiment and Differentiated Sequence Writing Activity
My kiddo's are OBSESSED with slime and are constantly making it- they even trade it and sell it to each other! I decided to tap into this interest as a way to introduce sequencing. I adapted this recipe and you can find a ton of different ones on the internet depending on what ingredients you want to use. In the second part, students build a launcher to help the turkey “escape” from the farm.
