We usually do this lab while we are studying pioneers in social studies, but it can be done anytime of the year! I get mason jars from Amazon (they are pretty cheap). Thanksgiving STEM Challenge and Turkey Craft
Have fun this Thanksgiving with this two part craft/STEM activity. Students first create their own turkey craft with a Styrofoam ball. In the second part, students build a launcher to help the turkey “escape” from the farm. The students start with a simple craft stick catapult and use the engineering design process to improve their designs.
