Try this STEM challenge in the days before Thanksgiving, when students know they wil
be watching the Macy's Day Parade!
Design a weight to hang from the balloon string that will ‘flink’ (float) for at least 10 seconds between 30 cm and 60 cm above the table using the materials given.
Materials:
•Helium balloon (or several)- you can get these for $1 at the dollar store!,
•Various recycled materials (paper, plastics, bottles)
•Weights like paper clips of different sizes, washers of different sizes, etc
•Tape
