What educators are saying

My second graders used this with our 5th grade buddies! My class (2nd) made the turkeys in the morning and the 5th graders made the launchers. Then we met up in the afternoon and tried them out! We were able to make any modifications as they tried it all out! It was an absolute HIT!! Thank you!
This activity was just I needed to keep my gifted learners engaged before Thanksgiving break. They had fun making the turkeys and playing with catapults.

Description

Have fun this Thanksgiving with this two part craft/STEM activity. Students first create their own turkey craft with a Styrofoam ball. In the second part, students build a launcher to help the turkey “escape” from the farm. The students start with a simple craft stick catapult and use the engineering design process to improve their designs.

This is a super fun way to tie in the holidays, STEM, and science into the curriculum.
