I have been looking everywhere for a simple progress report that I could fill out for one of my schools this year (since I am working at three!!), and I am slightly overwhelmed with all of the progress reports that I have to write at the end of the year.

Literacy Parent Plan/ Reading Progress Report/Parent Letter

Elementary School Weekly Reading Log (Editable)
I created this Reading Log for my First Grade students. It can be used for any K-5 teacher. This log is an editable word document. There are three versions. This reading log was placed inside a gallon sized Ziploc bag. I used Avery Labels for these Ziploc bags. Inside the bag were 4 books (1 book for each night). Stretch out the word- Stretchy Snake sound boxes
Kids love these sound boxes to stretch out the sounds they hear in a word. Simply laminate and keep this handy when your child is reading. When they get stuck on a word, place one letter(or blend) in each box, to have the child sound out the word. Kids love this strategy and grab for it themselves to solve words they do not know!

Sight Word Homework Practice Sheet
Here is a dolch homework sheet to send home for parents to practice with their child at home. Everyday they can read the words and then have their parents initial/sign at the bottom of the page. My parents love this sheet! I normally highlight what words they need help with in the classroom so they can work on them at home.
