Song Match! Fuzzy Wuzzy, I See the Moon, Mouse Mousie
This is a visual I use with second graders. I projected it with my BrightLink. The teacher sings each phrase in solfege and the students "vote" on which song they think is the match! Boom Chicka Boom Lyric Writing Work Sheet
With this worksheet, elementary music students will compose their own lyrics for a verse of "Boom Chicka Boom".This lesson was a lot of fun with my second graders! We had done the song "Boom Chicka Boom" in class until they were comfortable with it, then I implemented this lesson. After we wrote our songs, they took turns leading the class with their lyrical compositions. I would suggest modelling writing a class verse on the board using the template, this was helpful to many of my students.

My Challenge to you this week is to make your very own “Body Beat Routine” and make a video of it and send it to my e-mail. It can be as simple or as hard as you want, you can even try to add some music to the routine.
