Students previously learned how to safely use a handful of woodworking tools, including a band saw, spindle sander, belt sander, and drill press. Vex Sending Program to Robot Instructions Handout/Template
I got tired of answering the same questions over and over.... so I've started creating "template" items for my VEX robotics classroom. These are 1 page helpers for students. This item is sold by itself and as part of my VEX Helper Template Bundle.
I would recommend laminating this and then making an area ( I use a wall hanging basket) to keep all of your templates in so students can answer their own questions. I will be adding to this section as I continue to make more Templates.

Sheep Brain Dissection using computers, internet, and apps for learning.
My school is working on incorporating technology into all of our classrooms, and this is the brain dissection assignment that I created in response to this.
To use it, I guide students through a sheep brain dissection, step-by step, showing them the structures. After each stage, the students then complete the same steps that I have done, demonstrating their learning to me when they are ready. I used to teach the Rock Cycle and then do a lab activity. I combined both into one activity that not only uses candy (fun!) but also has students create a final digital product showcasing their work. Students progress through simulated rock cycle processes using Starbursts or similar candy. They take pictures along the way. Ultimately they use their own pictures to create a new rock cycle.
