I have used this simple song for five years to help my students remember the continents and oceans. I place a blank world map on the document camera and the students use a long pointer to point to each continent and ocean as they are being sung. I have had studetns from 4 years ago come to my room to tell me they still know all of the continents and oceans because of my song. Learn the names of all the countries in Central America with an upbeat song. My former students have told me that they have used this on tests in high school. The way I use it is I tell them I'm going to rap for them. Then I rap for them. Then I hand out a sheet with the lyrics and have them follow along. After a couple of times I tell them to put the sheet away and I rap the first part of the verse and see if they can fill in the second half, which includes the name of the country in it. S
