Peer-revision checklist for scary stories
This is a checklist form students can use to evaluate each others' scary stories. I would use this at the culmination of a scary story unit or lesson in which students wrote their own stories. The form allows them to determine each others' proficiency in a variety of areas and then provide comments to back up what they checked or left blank.

Fall Poetry/Figurative Writing Cooperative Learning Project
This two-part lesson helps accomplish multiple tasks. It helps build quality vocabulary in creative writing, helps establish what figurative language is, helps organize cooperative learning roles and it paves the way for similar projects in the future.
