Indigenous Education Lesson Kamloops Residential School | Reconciliation
This teaches students about the remains of 215 Indigenous children discovered at Kamloops residential school in British Columbia. All children matter and what happened is unacceptable. We must teach our students how to support the Indigenous population and how this is not an issue of the past. The effects are still felt and the last school was closed in 1996 when I was 3 years old. It is not history. We must teach about this important topic by honouring Indigenous voices and supporting the Truth
