Selective Evolution Project - Dog Breeds
This is a project I have had my Environmental Science (remedial) students in high school do for several years. They research a dog breed and then compare its features to that of another member in the order Carnivora. It takes two 50-minute class periods to research, complete, and present.
This would also be good for middle school or upper elementary when studying evolution. It may take longer for younger students.

Work Habits Checklist for Robotics/STEM

Plate Boundary Game
This is a game based off Paper, Rock, Scissors. Instead of using paper, rock, scissor you use the three common types of plate boundaries (Convergent, Divergent, and Transform). It is great for students who have trouble remembering vocabulary and is very kinetic.

Prehistoric Life Virtual Field Trip: Geologic Time Explored
This virtual field trip allows students visit interactive websites geared to exploring the 4 types of fossils & what the ideal conditions are to create each type, view some prehistoric life forms specific to students' local geography, learn more about students' local paleo-environment and explore various time periods. This is a favorite among my students!

Mass Lab - using a balance
This is a word doc, so it's editable depending on what you want to have the students measure the mass of.
