There is also a 4 part project for students to have a hands experience designing a space for client using Universal Design Principles and Industry Standards. Drawstring Bag Video Sewing Tutorial
This PDF PowerPoint has direct links to step by step video tutorials on how to sew a drawstring bag from start to finish. A picture of my rubric is included on the last slide of the powerpoint. I found that teaching students with only written instructions and pictures was not enough for them to truly understand how to do the project. And as students all work at varying rates I am unable to demonstrate each step in person. These are all self-created videos that I have made while social distancing

Teen Dating Unit
I start with the students writing 10 things they want in partner and 10 things they do not want in a partner. I have them take the 10 things I want in a partner create a "poster" based on one of those statements. I make them write it out of the poster, draw an image, and make it colorful. I take the best ones and make a dating abuse bulletin board.There is a 48 hours video that is amazing about dating abuse that has a follow along paper.
