This activity provides students the opportunity to practice sight words. Students complete 12 activity sheets, cut out the circles, fold on the lines, and staple together. Voila! You'll have an activity to reinforce sight words and a 3-dimensional decoration to hang from your ceiling! I have also used these as a game. Students can stand in a circle and roll their dodecahedron. Whatever side lands up, the student reads the word to the class and the class repeats it back. The kids love this! *T

Donut Game

This is the perfect game to combine visual motor and basic academic skills. I'll admit, the donut portion was not my idea. Here's where I drew my inspiration: http://playtivities.com/donut-game/ The donut included in this download is the one I created, to go along with the worksheet. After playing the donut game, kids can count each shape and record how many and what colors they see. Print out my donut and glue to a cardboard cutout...simple, easy, and fun!

This scavenger hunt worksheet contains sixteen boxes in which your students will find a peer to write their name down if they can relate to the text. If you want to add some spice to this worksheet, have the student who gets the most signatures in a certain amount of time win or who collects them all the fastest. Overall, this worksheet is a great ice breaker on the first day of school.
