There are 8 different cards to place around the room. Students go to the next card based on their answer. Matching Key Features of Parabolas
Students are given 8 graphs of parabolas and a list of all their key features. The students cut and paste the corresponding key features next to the parabolas.
Students can work individually or in pairs. They should have at least a general understanding of the key features of parabolas. This could also serve as an introductory activity, if you introduce the key features one at a time and have students identify as they go.

This is a quick scavenger hunt that I do with my students after we have introduced addition, subtraction and multiplication. Sequences Card Sort Activity - geometric and arithmetic included
This is a card sort activity where students will be matching up cards that they cut out. They are given the first 4 terms in a sequence and have to find the next 3 terms, the common difference or ratio, the explicit formula, the recursive formula, and a random term. Proportions Dominos
This is a "dominos" like activity where students will choose a card to start on, set up and solve the proportion problem, find the answer on another card and then solve the problem on the same card that had their answer on it.
They continue this process until they have lined up all their cards like dominoes. This activity could also easily be completed using stations or a scavenger hunt type task depending on the needs of your classroom.

Inequality Phrases Scavenger Hunt
This activity is perfect for reviewing inequality phrases and starting word problems. Students use their inequalities as "arrows" to get them around the building (or hall or room) to find their final hint! Once they answer the final hint, they get a key from the key keeper to return to the teacher!

Slope Intercept Form Given Two Points Snowball Fight!
Each student will take out a piece of paper to do their work on. Each Student will be given one question to crumple up. When the lights are turned off, students will begin throwing the "snowballs". There will be a 3-2-1 warning when the lights are getting turned back on. When the lights are on, all throwing stops and students pick a snowball. The students will solve the problem on the snowball and find the matching equation on the board. They will then move to the equation and wait to be checked

Polynomial Graph Group Work
Groups of 3-4 can work on this in the middle of a Polynomial Unit in which they must factor or divide a polynomial to find all of the key features and use technology to create the graph of a higher order polynomial. 4 different problems are available so you can have multiple problems per class and students can present their findings/given problem.

Factoring Quadratic Trinomials- Luck of the Draw
Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 factoring quadratic trinomials with some practice of factoring perfect square trinomials, difference of squares, GCF then trinomials, and non-factorable trinomials.
