Geometry Vocabulary Sort
This is a card sorting activity in which students match terms, diagrams and definitions of lines, rays, parallel and intersecting lines, angles and triangle vocabulary. This activity has also been used successfully as an assessment tool with students in grades 5 through 8, either individually or as a cooperative group project. The resulting poster also makes a good bulletin board display.

4th Grade Math Wall Posters
These are posters of 4th grade math concepts. Of the 42 colorful pages, most are geometry terms. Others include mode, median, range, number sense (greater than, less than, prime, composite), and steps to a word problem. In my classroom, I have a large blank wall above the chalkboard, so I call it my "wall of math". Very helpful for standardized testing!

Here are some poster created for a 3rd grade geometry unit. They could easily be used for 2nd or 4th grade. Each poster display a picturse of the shape and a definition. Included posters for: ray, right angle, acute angle, obtuse angle, straight angle, line, line segment, endpoints, point, parallel lines, perpendicular lines, and intersecting lines. For a total of 12 posters. They are made to print onto standard printer paper (8 1/2 x 11). Enjoy!

Polygon & Shapes Math Wall Signs
These signs are a great addition to your math wall! Each sign is color 8 1/2 x 11 with a clear picture and name. There are 10 total shapes (square, rectangle, circle, polygon, trapezoid, hexagon, pentagon, triangle, rhombus, and parallelogram). There is also a description for each shape printed on it's own 8 1/2 x 11. You could laminate these front and pack for review cards or do them individually. Quadrilaterials Performance Task
This cooperative group activity correlates with Common Core Geometry standards for grades 2, 3, 4, and 5. Students are given a large piece of butcher paper and the attributes to a "mystery shape". Working together, they must figure out what the shape is and then make it as large as possible using yardsticks and protractors to measure. This makes a great project for your bulletin board. A follow-up worksheet (completed individually) is included to assess each student.

Common Core Polygon Hierarchy
The fifth grade Common Core Math standard Geometry 4 states that students will classify polygons into a hierarchy based on attributes. This lesson is to introduce students to the concept of a hierarchy and give them practice using a tree to visualized the relationships among polygons using this type of graphic organizer. The resulting project makes a great bulletin board display.

2D and 3D shape attribute display
A series of mini-posters for display on your Maths/Numeracy wall. These posters include the vocabulary associated with attributes of 2D and 3D shapes. The definitions are simple and easy to read, and each poster includes illustrations. These are colourful, easy to read and understand. I printed them on white cardboard and laminated before putting them up on display.
