This activity has also been used successfully as an assessment tool with students in grades 5 through 8, either individually or as a cooperative group project. Others include mode, median, range, number sense (greater than, less than, prime, composite), and steps to a word problem. In my classroom, I have a large blank wall above the chalkboard, so I call it my "wall of math". Very helpful for standardized testing!

Here are some poster created for a 3rd grade geometry unit. They could easily be used for 2nd or 4th grade. Each poster display a picturse of the shape and a definition.
