Geometry Project - Geometry Town
Students will create a town map made of different geometric figures. They will demonstrate their knowledge of parallel and perpendicular lines, acute and obtuse angles, geometric shapes as well as many other geometric concepts through this creative and fun project.

Design Your Own Cereal Box Using Area, Surface Area, and Volume

Students will draw a floor plan of their dream home, research different types of flooring, calculate how many square feet of space the have in each room, and calculate how much it would cost to put floors down in their home! Area and Perimeter: Triangles, Parallelograms, and Trapezoids Project
This is a project to use after teaching area and perimeter. It is aligned to Common Core 6th Grade Standards: 6.EE.A.2 and 6.G.A.1. Students find the area of a triangles, rectangles, squares, parallelograms, and trapezoids using formulas. Then students are able to creatively put them together to create a figure or design. They can then compare the area and perimeter of the whole constructed shape compared to that of each individual one. This should only take one class period to complete.
