Geography - Johnny Cash "I've Been Everywhere" map activity
Students will listen to the song I've Been Everywhere" by Johnny Cash while looking at a copy of the lyrics with locations. After listening to the song and looking at the lyrics, students will have to choose two of the four stanzas from the song to eventually label and plot on their map. In short, students will choose their lists of cities, look up the latitude and latitude of the city, and label them with the appropriate color of their choice.
*You may want to add the Lat/Long lines to the US

These lyrics are all about the gods of Ancient Rome. The lyrics can be performed to many different beats. Just make sure to really emphasize the "Peace" part in the last line. Maybe with a peace gesture/wave. The kids might crack up at the last part, so if you do not like laughter in your class, DO NOT USE THIS SONG. Maybe you can even give it to your kids to perform. Last year many of my kids really liked the "Cup Song" from the movie Pitch Perfect. So, I performed the same cup rhythm, but changed the words to be about a few keys facts about Christopher Columbus and his journey.
