The students enjoyed getting to explore the room by themselves and I felt it was an easy way for them to get to know each other and their environment quickly. This is the template that I use for my seating chart. I have Kagan desks, so finding a seating chart that shows the actual layout of my classroom has been impossible. I write the number on the desk using a sharpie or expo marker (don't worry, they come off with a Clorox wipe). The students then come in, find their name and their number, and then find the desk with that same number.I hope this helps!
