This is a new Civic Literacy DBQ essay format based on the NYS standards for 11 grade US History. It follows the guidelines as per the state instructions and it is an overview of the Women's Suffrage movement from the 1850s to the Equal Rights Amendment of the 1970s. The documents are mostly primary sources and are intended to allow the students to easily incorporate outside information. I usually assign this essay at the end of the Progressive Era.
