Description
This activity pairs well with any lessons regarding the Northern Homefront during the Civil War. It also works well when teaching students about the long-lasting campaign for Women's suffrage. During this activity groups of students analyze a speech from Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Once they are finished with their analyses students respond to several critical thinking questions. This activity not only makes students aware of the Women's Rights activities during the Civil War it also has them practice key historical thinking skills.
