This is one Reading Workshop SMARTBoard Lesson that can be used with any read aloud. The lesson has 4 short reading stories for the class to practice identifying who is telling the story. Then students practice the skill on their own independently in their own leveled books while the timer is going.
I created this lesson to introduce the Common Core Standard 1.RL.6 - Identify who is telling the story at various points in a text.

Old Lady Who Swallowed Leaves Smart Board Activity
This is a SMARTNotebook file. Your students will be able to move the items from the story into the Old Lady's mouth. The items will disappear when moved down her throat. You can retrieve the items again by clicking the undo button several times, or do not save changes when you are finished.
