FRENCH: LES PARTIES DU CORPS
Introduce your French students to the parts of the body vocabulary using Auguste Rodin statues! Four statues can be viewed: le Penseur, Le Baiser, Les Mains et Burghers Close. Last two slides are summary tactile activities 1) students click the body part word and then it's matching action to uncover Le Baiser. 2) Image sort: students click the rapidly changing pics and identify them through multiple choices below. Picasso Cubism Overview
This is a SMARTnotebook lesson about Pablo Picasso and his Cubist style of artwork. It includes links to a video, colouring pages and more, as well as a hands on lesson idea to complete after the theory part of the lesson.
This lesson was originally made for a special education high school class, and is suitable for most ages.
This would also be a great lesson for a relief teacher to use, as it requires minimal preparation.

Paleolithic Cave Paintings
A hands on learning experience replicating the paleolithic cave paintings found in Lascaux, France.
First, we read the article https://www.ancient.eu/Lascaux_Cave/ to learn all about it.
Then, look at pictures, examples, and descriptions on the SMART presentation.
Lastly, the students create their own art (laying on the floor under their desks in a dark room).
The students LOVE this activity. There's no better way to learn than to experience it!!
