I always tell my students that a biography is the story of a person's life, as though a timeline was put into narrative form. For their upcoming writing project on a historical figure, I plan to have them prewrite by turning their research into a timeline. Nonfiction Notes Graphic Organizer 1 Main Idea Common Core
This is a graphic organizer designed to help students organize their approach to nonfiction texts. Students are exposed to a list of text features, text types, and text structures in order to choose which ones fit the text in front of them.
