Start Your Own School Newspaper and Newspaper Club
Starting your own school newspaper isn't difficult. I've run (and created) our school newspaper for three years. This document has most of the materials you'll need for set-up. The newspaper club in my school was open to fifth grade students and printed copies were distributed in the school to faulty, staff, classroom libraries, school common areas, and to the newspaper club members. Our newspaper is usually 12 pages long and we use Microsoft Publisher to create it.

Where in the World Paragraph Writing Lesson
This is a 3-week writing unit where students learned how to write an expository paragraph. The idea was that each kid got a city and country somewhere in the world. They had to write a paragraph describing the place, without using the name.
