Gifted Education Math Game Design Project Rubric
I designed this rubric to assess my gifted math students as they chose from a project menu to create a game to practice geometry standards.
Teachers can use this rubric to assess a math game designed by their student(s) surrounding any math topic.

Equivalent Fraction Rubrics
This FREEBIE includes two rubrics that can be used as students create posters on equivalent fractions.
The first rubric is blank. This allows the students to create/generate their own criteria and ideas on how their final posters should look.

Dinner Party - Unit Rates
This quick project allows students to use rates and unit rates in a real world setting. Students will plan a meal for guests while operating within a budget. The number of guests and budget can be changed to fit the situation.

CCSS - Fractions & Mixed Number Task
This extended response task has students solving a math problem with real world applications. Students can easily relate to the situation which keeps them engaged in the task.
Topics include:
- Multiplication of fractions and mixed numbers
- Division of fractions and mixed numbers
- Volume of a right rectangular prism with fractional edges.
- Describing the strategies applied in order to complete the task.

Sometimes drills become too much! In lieu of another test I created an assessment tying in survey skills, creating fractions, graphing on a pie chart, adding/ subtracting/ and simplifying fractions. It is aligned to Common Core Standards for 6th grade. Enjoy!
