My students completed a wax museum project in which they read a biography about a historical person of their choice. Then, they created several pieces such as a stamp, a portrait, gathering artifacts having to do with the person, and designing a costume to wear. Students then put all the pieces together on a tri-fold board and set up their boards, in costume, in the gym. Lower grades of the school then visited the wax museum with their classes.
