This is a set of two tables of notes and rests - whole, half, quarter, and eighth - laid out by name, number of beats, and what I have the students say when reading rhythms together. I used this graphic organizer with my second graders after I taught them Rondo Form. Each box represents 1 beat. The students write their own piece of music in rondo form using known rhythm symbols. I had them work in groups and then perform their pieces at the end. The directions are included.
