This lesson was used as additional reinforcement for a unit on health and wellness for Special Education students. Specifically this lesson covers:
1. tools and other things you may see when you go to the doctor's office (this is a sorting activity where students can sort pictures into things a doctor uses vs. things not used by a doctor)
2. A series of yes/no questions about being sick. (This part includes 8 slides each with one question. For example: "Are you sick if you have a fever?" or "

12 multiple meaning word questions. Students are given 2 sentences and must choose the word that can correctly complete BOTH sentences. These are words that can be used as nouns OR verbs. A quick smart unit for teaching multiple meaning words. There is an assessment page at the end of the unit, where students must apply their knowledge.

Colors- Object & Word Matching
This is an interactive activity for the SmartBoard that teaches colors by giving three differed leveled activities moving from basic color matching and moving towards matching color words to the appropriate color. 1.Click the wheel to start the spinner.When the spinner lands on a color, have the student drag the matching colored item to the color wheel. This SmartBoard presentation helps students learn about action words. This is a notebook file uses the Senteo/Smart Response System as an assessment tool and is aligned with Common Core Standards for Kindergarten.
