This reader's theater was written for a small group of 5 students. It was written to introduce and reinforce the topic of recycling as well as discuss Earth Day. In this script, five students have volunteered to help their teacher clean up after the class party. They get into a discussion about how they can reduce their garbage and why they should. Students will read the story 'Yertle the Turtle' and then participate in this mock trial for their Social Studies class. Each student will be provided with a part (can accommodate entire classes as many students will be assigned to the jury) and a script to read from. The Trial of the Century Comedy Sketch
The Trial of the Century will finally determine the guilt or innocence of the dog who ate the homework.
