Modeling Percent of Moon Illuminated Science Math Lab Activity
Overview
In this activity students will create a mathematical (graphing) model of the lunar phases. They will use metric measurement skills to determine percentage representation of moon phases and develop a graph of the lunar phase. Then they will analyze the graph to make predictions.

Winter Sled Project- Woodworking

Cell Phone Experiment
Students write a hypothesis as to what it would be like to not have their phone in school for 3 consecutive days. They then turn in the phone to me at the beginning of the day and get it back at the end of the school day for 3 days. They must then analyze their results. This is the write up for the experiment. I use this for extra credit.

These job descriptions can be used in any small group setting to keep all students engaged. I laminated them, punched holes in the corners, and tied yarn on them to make a lanyard-type tag students wear during the activity.
