My on-level or special needs students use their notes about WED to help them with the follow-up questions to the activity at each station. Students travel in groups around the room to complete each activity. Warning: as with most hands-on activities, it can get a little messy, but it's well worth it as students remember this activity and you can reference it as you go forward through the geology conte

Law of Superposition/ Fossils- Playdoh Activity/Exit Ticket

I usually walk through the steps, showing students how to put the layers together, then they construct their own with a partner. The best part is the quick check I can do as I walk through the room or they hand me their completed papers. It shows who understands the con
