This multiplication book I made for the end of the year when we were leaning about multiplication and arrays. I had the kids draw (like an array), add, and multiply each equation. When I made the books I copied the cover on construction paper. Then I copied the set of equations and cut them in 2 and then staple on the left hand side the construction paper cover and back. This cuts down on copies. I try to copy all of the covers for the different multiples on different colored construction paper.

Students were having a hard time grasping the concept of 3 times as much as 6 (for example). I created this activity for the math teacher to do in class. I provided the balls (each had their own box). The students counted each type of ball before completing the worksheet which I ran off front and back. This is a great hands on activity.

What is better than boys and throwing balls? This is a fun math came to work on adding and subtracting. Write a random number on the inside rim of 6 plastic cups. Then line up the 6 plastic cups in a tight triangle formation. Give the students two ping pong balls and have them toss them into the cups. Whichever cups the balls land in, the student uses the cups number to make two true math statements (one addition and one subtraction) using the math pong template. The boys (and girls) will love
