This is a list of resources that ranges from activities, graphic organisers with the unit wrapped up with an assessment having the rubric attached. This can be used for both Japanese language purposes and pure English film analysis but would be more useful within a Japanese learning context classroom.

Japanese Greetings and Self Introduction Assessment
This is an assessment on the topic greetings and self introduction. It is divided into two sections: written and oral, with rubrics attached for both parts. The Victorian Curriculum descriptors and codes have also been included. Example of what a complete work might look like have been put up for handwritten part. Rubric has been made based on how I differentiate in my class - examples have also been provided on how I differentiate within the document.

Japanese Martial Arts Cultural Research Assessment
This cultural assessment will roughly take about two weeks (4 lessons) to complete. It is a research task that contains instructions, basic information to get the students started and a rubric. A number of martial arts has been listed within the PowerPoint for students to choose from.

Ponyo Analysis Assessment
This assessment incorporates cultural elements with creative and critical thinking and ethics parts of the Victorian curriculum. It asks students to compare and contract the Disney and Hans Christian Anderson's versions of "The Little Mermaid" with its adaptation of the Japanese film, "Ponyo". Three questions/topics/prompts are available to give to the students as well as writing scaffolds and a rubric ready for teachers to assess students on.
