I have included the vocabulary words in a chart to glue into the students' notebooks. I have the students make flash cards by writing the word and definition on index cards. They use these cards to study daily. I have also included a cut and match vocabulary hands on activity. I have the students cut and paste with the matching voc. word, definition and sentences with blanks to fill in. I have my students create a 24-page prefix and suffix booklet. They must include the definition of a prefix, the definition of a suffix, 10 prefixes, 10 suffixes, 5 words on each page that use that prefix or suffix, and an illustration on each page. This is a very detailed rubric used to assess these booklets. The rubric tells what should be on each page.
