I have decided to make all products in my store "free." I started selling products on TPT in 2012. I am now in a new role in education, one where I'm not using these resources, nor do I have the time to update them as needed. While these may have worked for my class and me at the time I used them, I no longer feel comfortable selling things that I'm not sure if they match my pedagogy and educational philosophy at this time. Feel free to download anything you see, but I do encourage you to edit items to fit the needs of your students. I've been in education for 10 years, teaching 2nd, 4th, and as a Teaching and Learning Coach. I've taught in 2 states, 5 schools. I have taught all subject areas- reading, writing, language, math, science, and social studies. I have taught with the Common Core State Standards for over 5 years.

I highly value a team approach, and my students read EVERY day! I have been inspired by Donalyn Miller's book, "The Book Whisperer," and I also love Choice Literacy's weekly blog. Writer's Workshop is a daily occurrence in my classroom as well. In math, I love helping the students deconstruct their thinking to go deeper to truly understand numbers and mathematical concepts. We say it every day, "Explain your thinking!" I am a huge proponent of technology use appropriately in the classroom. We must prepare children to use devices wisely and efficiently, as their futures will greatly depend on their ability to think critically using technologies that have not been invented yet. Technology should not be used to "baby-sit," rather as a way to learn, as well as to extend and express learning.
