Brief intro to Graphic Novels layout
This is a brief powerpoint that goes over the page elements of a graphic novel.
I use this with my Grade 11 class in teaching Macbeth; I had a graphic novel version of Macbeth that was fairly accurate to the play. I would photocopy a few scenes (enlarging it) and white out all the speech bubbles. Students would have to use visual cues to input dialogue.
This idea can also be adapted with younger grades as a story composition tool.
