We want our students to get immersed in an era, but it gets harder and harder the further back you go. This lesson allows them to visualize medieval life through pictures of primary sources - furniture, toys, and buildings. The learner is challenged to observe the artifacts, place themselves into the era, and write about their lives as medieval people. Rather than focusing on the crowned heads, archbishops, and popes, they view Europe in the Middle Ages from the perspective of everyday people
