Let students figure out the Dos and Don'ts of claim writing by offering different examples and asking students to identify why some are "Strong" and others are "Weak". By giving students examples of weak claims, they can see that you want them to write more formally, provide context, respond to a prompt, etc. This is a great introduction to the skill.
