There may be more than one answer blank. One of the most common graphic organizers that we should see on the new test is the Venn Diagram. *MUST HAVE SMART NOTEBOOK TO OPEN! IT IS FOR THE SMARTBOARD ONLY!*

Practicing Letter Sounds Smart Notebook

Through balanced literacy our students learn all of the letter sounds. I found that many of the students were having a difficult time remembering which letters had more than one sound. On the practice cards I added one sticker dot for each sound the letter made in order to help the students more easily recall. I made this Notebook file to help practice the letter sounds and add more variety to a sort of mundane task. In the file the whale's have one dot for each letter sound coming from their bl

The Say It in Six activity allows students to focus on the key story elements when summarizing a story. While students are reading, I have them make a list of important words. Then, after reading, students are to select the six words that best summarize the entire story. Each word is written in one of the boxes and they use it to retell the story to the class, and/or write a summary.
