I also have students use it to assess each other's work, which has greatly improved their own annotations. Students find it helpful and easy to use. This rubric assesses color-marking, annotating, and short answer responses. Each category is worth 5 points, so an overall score of 15 is possible. I use it on poetry annotations and close reading annotations.
