This interactive arts/social studies project makes learning about Ancient Egyptian markets and commerce lots of fun! Inspired by illustrations of ancient tomb paintings of bartering and markets, students color, cut, fold and glue two pages of illustrations into a 3-D pop-up market. They use their imaginations to delve into the past and times without refrigeration, cars, or electricity. They imagine the products that would have been available for trade--food, cloth, animal skins, flowers and toys
